Argosy University

Argosy University's Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology Degree Program provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to work with animals of various types. Proper care of animals, laboratory testing, surgery and anesthesia assistance, and radiology are program topics. Under the supervision of full-time veterinarian instructors and certified veterinary technician faculty members, students will work with small mammals (cats, dogs, rabbits, and rodents) on campus, and visit area farms where they can get hands-on experience with larger animals, such as horses and cows.

The AZEW Specialty in Veterinary Technology at Argosy University, Twin Cities Campus
Students who want to work in the non-domestic areas of animal care (such as zoos, wildlife rehabilitation or private practices dealing with exotics) can focus on the AZEW (aquatic, zoology, ecology and wildlife) specialty.

For students who are unable to relocate or commute on a daily basis, Argosy University, Twin Cities Campus offers a Veterinary Technician Program in a Blended Format. The blended format allows students from outside the Twin Cities area to pursue a degree in Veterinary Technology through concentrated on-campus classes that may be accessed on-line and by volunteering at a veterinary clinic in their local community or by continuing to work part-time at their existing clinic to fulfill their externship requirement.

Accreditation: The Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology Degree Program is accredited through the Council on Education of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
